thanks to everyone who helped us arrive in new zealand so smoothly, including Richard our fantastic man with a van who was able to get us to heathrow at a very reasonable price and extremely efficently. his next pick up was a stuffed emu and a London bus stop so the tandem was easy by comparison!
after the long flight it was a bit worrying that we were a biohazard in New Zealand terms as we had both been on a farm recently. However a quick look at our shoes and the fact it was midnight worked in our favour and we got through bisecurity quickly!
it is great to see some new faces in the paratriathlon squad, some fresh from the paralympic games, so there will be plenty to talk about over breakfasts.
have done a small amount of sight seeing in between training, with great views frm the sky tower and a visit to the aquarium. just a note of caution to anyone thinking of travelling here – it is cheaper to hire a car for the day than use a taxi to travel 3miles !!!!
