As you may have heard recently, Tri Team Dawson will now be supported by two new sponsors. They are Torq nutrition and Salming Running. Here’s a little more information about each: –
I have signed up as a Torq ambassador which is brilliant news. I’ll be using Torq’s energy drinks and gels as well as their recovery products during training and races. I’ve actually been using some of Torq’s offerings for a while now so I already know how effective they are, but i’m looking forward to trying out the rest of the range! I have great confidence in this brand given it’s scientific approach and use of natural ingredients rather than just putting a load of rubbish in as some other companies do.
To start with i’ll be using: –
- Energy drink – Natural blackcurrent
- Energy gels – Rhubard and custard
- Energy bars – Mixuture of flavours (mango, banana, ginger, raspberry)
- Recovery drink – Banana & mango
Many thanks to Martin Rendle at Torq Events Ltd. for helping to arrange this.
Please check out the Torq site for useful information on sports fuelling and product information at www.torqfitness.co.uk
Salming are new to the UK market and are looking to make a big impression. They are a company from Sweden who produce a range of 4 natural running shoes at present and quality apparel for both summer and winter sports activities. They will be supplying me with some great training gear as well as the Speed and Distance shoes initially.
I’m really looking forward to working with Salming and using their products. Hopefully i’ll be able to offer something back too as i’m quite interested in how running shoes are designed and work so watch out for a future shoe review…
A massive thanks to Neil Featherby at Sportlink in Norwich (who are Salming stockists) for making contact with Salming on my behalf – great support from the best running shop around as always!
Barford Vans
Also we would like to say thanks to Barford Van Hire for giving us a great discount on vehicle hire so we can transport the tandem to events/airports when needed – much appreciated!
