I’ve mentioned recently that Jill has been making a great effort to get and stay fit. She’s been running regularly, to the gym, working with Richard Green PT and out on the roads cycling despite the weather turning colder/wetter.
To help keep motivation high and have something to aim for, Jill signed up for the Kings Lynn Santa run held in early December. It was organised to raise funds for the local Tapping House Hospice and on the day a large number of Santa’s congregated at King’s Lynn Football Club’s ground at The Walks.
I think Jill was a bit nervous beforehand as she’s never run in public or at an organised event. She needn’t have worried though as she completed it without any problems and was running at a faster pace than she had previously managed!
Here’s a few pictures of Jill in action: –
Clearly the exercise programme is working…Jill did really well. Hopefully lots of cash was raised for the hospice too.
Jill has now signed up for her next goal event – the Sport Relief 5k around London’s Olympic Park in March 2014 which should be awesome!
Happy Christmas!
