End of Year Review

So, 2016 is over and, whilst I’m well into winter training towards the 2017 season, it’s nice to look back on the past 12 months.

It’s been a decent year over-all with a few bumps in the road as usual!

There were two main highlights for me. Firstly it was making my middle distance debut at Ironman 70.3 Norway, where I raced with native Baard Grindberg for the first time in several years. Secondly it was winning September’s European Middle Distance Champs in Austria with Matt Ellis.

Another highlight was the completion of Liam Ray’s video as part of his final year media studies degree: –

Less good was puncturing at the national time trial champs with David McGaw for the 3rd time in 4 years – Dammit! You could also pick pretty much most of the 13.1 ‘torture run’ at the aforementioned ETU champs…that’s racing!

Here’s a few of my favourite photo’s of 2016: –

Big thanks of course to all my super sponsors who continue to provide amazing support, Jill for all her efforts and Matt, David, Baard, Nick Beer, Iain Robertson and Jack Peasgood for Guiding/piloting the tandem in 2016.

2017 looks like it will be interesting, so keep an eye out for a further update very soon!
